While reading my daily blogs I stumbled upon this track by Mark Ronson which features Tasti’s favourite soul singer Ms Amy Winehouse. “Valerie” was first released by the The Zutons. It’s the third single to be taken from his covers album Version. It’s got an amazing beat and sounds fresh, me like! The video below doesn’t actually feature Amy but it does have some look-a-likes. Have a listen and leave a comment.

The seventh secret recipe is another Holly Valance track from her sophomore release State of Mind. “Action” is another catchy track that would’ve pushed the album far if it got a release. Wrong single choices has probably made Holly not think about music. There was talk of new material on her official site but nothing has happened. Holly recently said “No one can make any money. It was a really tough slog and I had a good go at it, but it was difficult. You put in so much effort and put in so many long hours for not much return. I was making all my money from endorsements and appearances, but I didn’t make that much from the actual record sales. I think everyone is suffering in the music industry. It wasn’t just me. I do something until it’s not fun any more and then move on. Music wasn’t fun any more.” I was really hoping for a third album, oh well.

Jennifer Lopez’s Brave has failed to make it to the Top Ten in the U.S. According to the Billboard, it debuted at #12, only selling 53,000 copies - ouch! Even LeAnn Rimes and Kid Rock beat her by selling 74,000 (#4) and 170,000 (#1) respectively. I’m just surprised because all her previous albums, even her Spanish release, charted in the top ten.

I’d like to share with you all two songs from James Blunt’s All The Lost Souls sessions. The first is “Dear Katie”, which is a b-side on the “1973″ single, and the second is “I Want You” which is a bonus track. Both are in typical James Blunt style, and both are a pleasure to listen to. This guy just blew up massively didn’t he? Huge all over the world. Thanks to musicgirl988 on FMSM. Enjoy!
